Seale Ave and, more generally, Old Palo Alto broadly defined as Embarcadero to Oregon and Alma to Middlefield is an ideal spot for young families who want to be close to Stanford. My first Bay Area apartment was in Sharon Green's apartment complex. A day trip to San Francisco will let you visit the famous Alcatraz and take in the rest of the amazing city. However, this city is probably best known for being the home of Stanford University. Would have preferred living walking distance to downtown Palo Alto, but better value in here. There is a really good farmer's market on Sundays.
Another thing I love is that is within walking distance of the Safeway, Peets Coffee and other smaller stores. This is a nice neighborhood in Menlo Park, but not the nicest neighborhood. Not too much around by way of amenities but I loved living in this house regardless.
Its a good tacqueria with typical options. I love our new apartment! The area is itself is convenient, though. If you like to run, just across the street you can enter in a very wealthy neighborhood in Atherton, where you can run around some incredible mansions. Especially on a Sunday, you can shop a little in the farmers' market, then have brunch with friends, and then shop again There is a boutique called Therapy which I loveeeeeeee. However, the best-known employer is likely Hewlett-Packard. You definitely need a car. Downtown Mountain View is a cute little place to visit.
There are also tennis and softball fields for the public to enjoy at their leisure. Though the Safeway is close, nice, and open 24 hours. Known as the birthplace of Silicon Valley a Palo Alto apartment comes with not only an amazing history, but a bright future. Rent was extremely affordable, and there's a Whole Foods at Jefferson and El Camino. Living in this area has several advantages: you are close to Chavez, a very good supermarket that also has a food place that makes the best tacos ever. Its spacious, dog-friendly, has a dishwasher, and a small storage unit.

If you want more authentic, quick Mexican food, this is a great alternative to the Chipotle down the street on El Camino I lived in the 725 Roble apartment buildings. Beautiful outdoors access for bike rides from your front door over into Woodside Right by 280 entrance for quick zipping up to the city or elsewhere Pretty neighborhoods as you head over into Atherton. Thanks primarily to the university, Palo Alto has become an important center for the electronics industry. It is a 10 minute drive to campus Stanford , 10 minute walk to the Caltrain station and very close to the 101 freeway Open until midnight, this is one of few late night food options in the immediate area around Stanford campus. Its clean and th service is good.

The units are fairly large and a good value. It was a great place to start as a newcomer to the area! It's right next to a shopping center with a Safeway, Starbucks, Wells Fargo, etc. City residents enjoy many perks from living so close to this major college, particularly the academic community, sporting events, and art exhibits. Nestled in the bay area Palo Alto has a wonderful climate with cool winters and warm, dry summers complementing each other nicely without deviating too far from the average year round high of 70 degrees. They share their honest and unbiased perspective with you, so you know how every rental ranks in the area. But the prices in Menlo have just gone through the roof lately. It's also right next to the 280 which usually is less congested than the 101.
I would highly recommend this area for singles, newly married couples and young families. The only downside is that it is kind of quiet, but so are most places in the peninsula. The downtown historical district is also rich with famous buildings and the beautiful Arastradero Preserve is the perfect place to spend one of the plentiful sunny afternoons. Nonetheless Palo Alto is well served locally by three regular newspapers, a radio station and several local cable channels.
